STANDARD OF CONDUCT
TRAFFIC
To ensure the safety of all, drivers are requested to drive carefully and watch for pedestrians.
HEALTH & SAFETY
- No smoking or vaping is permitted on the campground. Persons who indulge in this habit are to be directed to public lands outside the fenced perimeter of the campground.
- The use and/or possession of intoxicating beverages or non-medical drugs is strictly forbidden.
- The carrying of firearms on the property is strictly forbidden, unless authorized by the Board.
- Shoes must be worn at all times, outside of individual cottages, tents and/or trailers.
- Children and youth under the age of 18 must not be left on the grounds without formally appointed adult supervision.
MODESTY & DEPORTMENT
Modesty consistent with Christian standards is required at all times. These standards will be reflected in conduct and attire suitable to each particular camp activity.
SUNDAY
Sunday is a very special day at the camp, observing the Biblical admonition to keep it a "Holy Day" is a priority with programs planned for worship, study and prayer, etc. The pool will be closed on Sundays during such organized activities.
COMPLAINTS
- All complaints (related to the campground) will be handled through the Board.
- With the exception of immediate safety issues, all complaints must be made in writing. Verbal complaints will not be accepted.
- All complaints will be acknowledged upon receipt, and every reasonable effort will be made to resolve the complaint.
- The following guidelines should be considered when submitting complaints:
- Any complaints/issues related to the safety of individuals on the property will be dealt with immediately. Issues of this nature should be brought to the attention of the Chair or at the camp office and need not be made in writing.
- All other complaints must be submitted in writing and will be dealt with by the Board.
- All complaints must be made in writing and clearly identify the issue, individuals involved, any actions already taken, and any options for solutions which the complainant would like to put forward for consideration.
QUIET
- Please respect the rights of others and "quiet time" from 11:00 p.m. (or 30 minutes after the last organized activity, if that activity ends later than 10:30 p.m.).
- Please refrain from activities that would detract from public services.
POOL
- When within the confines of the pool area, all persons must carefully abide by the regulations governing that area.
- No running on the pool deck.
- Absolutely no food or beverages are to be brought inside the pool enclosure.
- Absolutely no diving is permitted.
- Exiting the pool should be done using the ladders or stairs only as exiting on the edges of the pool may cause damage to the pool liner.
- No one under the age of twelve (12) is permitted inside the pool enclosure without a supervisor aged eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- Hanging on the buoy line is prohibited.
- Items made of hard plastic are not permitted in the pool as they may cause damage to the pool liner.
PETS
- We recommend that campers leave their pets at home. If however, this is impossible, then pets must be kept on a leash at all times and inside at night.
- The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville by-laws apply to all pets being kept on the campgrounds.
- The Ministry of Health requires that all pets must have their annual vaccine for rabies, 30 days or before coming on the grounds and documentation of this must accompany the pet and be on file at the office.
- In keeping with the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville by-laws, “any person who owns, keeps, harbours or possesses any animal as a pet which defecates on a public or private property thereof shall clean up after it”.
FIRES
In keeping with the by-laws and regulations of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, no fires are permitted on the grounds except those attended to by the camp staff and built in the designated fire pit area.
GARBAGE
Household garbage or recycling is to be bagged and/or placed in the designated containers. Any garbage produced due to cottage renovations or construction activities is to be removed from the grounds at the sole expense of the lot lessee to which it relates.
